An opportunity for boys to engage in a fun - competitive volleyball experience.
How does the league adjust for NEW players because volleyball is regularly viewed as a hard sport to learn.
Rule adjustment:
Setting (hands calls):
- The individual may carry the ball; however, if a player has demonstrated a higher level of competency the ref may adjust. The goal is to allow for a looser limit to allow new players the opportunity to attempt to try setting.
Net (hitting the net):
- inadvertent on a hit or block attempt no big deal. The goal is safety watching crashing into the net and going underneath will be called based upon if a player loses body control. If a call is made the referee will explain why.
Service:
- coaches discretion for where the player is capable of serving from.
- a server is maxed at 2 serves. The team remains possession.
- after 2 successful serves the serving team must toss cross net free balls.
- maximum of 3 cross net free balls (5 total points) then possession changes.
Music is a must during play. It helps players to relax, have fun, and be kids. This league is not about the parents but creating an itch for future volleyball players regardless of what level they play at. Volleyball is a phenomenal sport that everyone can enjoy at all levels and ages of life.
Boys from 3rd to 6th grade
Note: if your child is younger or older please contact us because the goal is to increase exposure and opportunities. We are aware that a lot of school districts do not provide chances for boys to experience volleyball. The intent of this program is not to limit anyone.
